Lactose
Disaccharide sugar also known as milk sugar. In order to be absorbed by our body, lactose must be resolved into two simple sugars. People suffering from lactose intolerance cannot resolve this disaccharide into these two sugars because of a partial or total lack of the enzyme lactase.
